Hello, 2013!

Hello, all! I apologize for the lack of attention that my blog has received thus far in 2013, but a new year brings with it new classes and new responsibilities.  However, here are a few photos from NYE, when there was only fun to be had with friends in Pittsburgh!

Ellie & Molly ringing in the New Year! Gold & glitter seemed to be the theme.

"Celebration"

A big accomplishment for me this winter break was finishing up my big canvas project for the living room wall (which has been stark white and screaming for some color since we moved in).  The piece is representative of the Tree of Life, which is a symbol to me of hope, strength, and the celebration of life. I had been working on it for a few months and was fearful I wouldn't like it when I finished. Thankfully, I think it looks pretty snazzy on the wall.

It's been pretty quiet in NC over the last few weeks for Evan and I, but last weekend we were lucky enough to head to Virginia with friends Greg & Brittany to Wintergreen Ski Resort.  We had a relaxing weekend away and I even got back on skis for the first time my snowboarding accident 4 years ago. I stuck to the green & blue slopes, but I only fell once! It was nice to be around some snow and chilly weather since the weather has been so mild in North Carolina.

This upcoming weekend, Evan and I are looking forward to hosting his parents for a visit!  Evan has a few fun things planned, like attending a UNC bball game, and I know it will be great to just spend time together and catch up.  The following weekend Evan and I are heading to Savannah, GA to celebrate a belated Valentine's Day.

Lots to look forward to - Missing you all every day!

Molly
