A Fun February

What a great month it has been! Typically by February I'm tired of winter (or maybe I'm just ready for the birthday celebration month of March) and feeling the cold weather blues.  But with multiple fun weekends in a row, I've got a lot to share!

Last weekend the Widney's came down for their first visit to Carrboro since they helped us move last August.  We had a great weekend, despite some chilly weather (I'm convinced they brought the WV weather with them!). We went to the UNC vs. UVA basketball game (the Heels got the W) and enjoyed eating out at all sorts of delicious restaurants!

Cheering on the Tar Heels at the UNC bball game!

Good looking crew :)

More than anything, it was just great to catch up and visit. We had a great weekend!

After a short week of class and work, Evan and I left for Savannah, GA on Friday for a weekend away.  Evan has a work-related conference in Savannah on Monday & Tuesday, so we figured we might as well enjoy the area over the weekend!  Although it was a bit rainy (and by a bit I mean it didn't stop all day Saturday), we had a great time! We were staying in the Historic District, which was full of beautiful architecture and rich with history.  Friday night we decided to go on a Ghost Tour Pub Crawl - and it was a great decision! Our tour guide was both fun and full of information, and we learned a lot about the haunted history of Savannah while enjoying local brews around the town. The rest of the weekend was less planned, but we had a great time walking around the district, exploring local boutiques and yummy eateries.

Hazy (but beautiful) view from our hotel!

On Sunday the sun decided to come out, and although I had planned on leaving to head back to Carrboro by noon, I stuck around until after 3:30 pm because I couldn't get enough of the 75 degrees and sunshine!

Enjoying the Sunshine!

Beautiful spanish moss on the trees all over Savannah!

It was a wonderful weekend and a great way to relax before I begin 2 weeks of midterms!

Love to all,

Molls
