Over my spring break for classes, mom & dad came down for a visit and we headed a few hours away to Asheville for a couple nights to see the Biltmore. Evan wasn't able to take time off to go to Asheville, but it was nice getting to have some time with my parents. It did make me miss my brother, though, thinking back to all of our childhood trips! We were a few weeks too early for the Biltmore Gardens to be open, but we spent some time in the conservatory that had some beautiful, thriving plants. Unfortunately, the weather was lousy while we were in Asheville so I wasn't able to capture many pictures. We still had a great time enjoying the Biltmore and checking out the downtown area.
The last weekend of spring break we headed to Charleston for a wedding and for a March birthday celebration! It was nice to be home for a few nights and get to celebrate all of the March birthdays on mom's actual birthday. Grandma Dottie was feeling a little sick, so they weren't able to come over for dinner, but Evan and I stopped by St. Albans on our way out of town on Sunday to wish her a very happy birthday and bring her some flowers!

Our next stop was up to Morgantown for St. Patrick's Day. We wouldn't have made the extra trip just for some green beer, but Evan's best friend, Erik, had a surprise up his sleeve for his long time girlfriend, Audrey. Erik proposed to Audrey on the Mountainlair Green by flash mob. Although Evan and I decided to not participate in the actual dance (we didn't know the moves well enough to look good out there!), it was so fun to be there to witness such a unique and sweet proposal. Luckily, she said yes!

A few days ago was my birthday, the big 2-3! I had a busy day with clinic, an exam, and a photography class (running around from 9 am to 9 pm), but I was a lucky girl with chocolate-chip birthday pancakes bright and early from Evan, and homemade cupcakes from a friend at our exam.

Last night, Evan planned a dinner at a new pizza place in Chapel Hill, the Mellow Mushroom, with a bunch of our friends. We had a great dinner and it was the perfect end to a great birthday celebration!
Lots of love to everyone,
Molly
